Product description
Advance Acoustic is a brand created in Toulouse in 1995 "under the wings" of the French company FVS, operating in the electronics industry since 1981.
Through the labor-intensive and rigorous construction process (Advance Acoustic products are designed in France and assembled in the best factories in the world), and the use of technologies developed for advanced, more expensive models, Advance Acoustic with each of its devices provides first-class quality at sensational prices.
Advance Acoustic MAP-306 stereo amplifier
MAP-306 is the latest amplifier of the Advance Acoustic brand, it is the successor of the MAP-306 model, although a large number of changes and improvements used allows you to talk about a completely new product.
Solid, massive and heavy ( over 15kg !) Construction based on a compact, aluminum frame. In the central part we see a powerful 600W toroidal transformer . Both power amplifiers are separated from each other and placed on the sides, adhering directly to the powerful heat sinks. The internal partitions ensure perfect separation of individual elements of the amplifier.
The power amplifier can work in both Class A and AB . It depends only on the owner, who has a switch on the rear panel. When working in the AB class, as many as 20 "first" out of 100 watts of the declared power, the amplifier will give class A , which will have a significant impact on the sound quality due to the extremely faithful processing of weaker signals.
MAP-306 releases the buyer from a powerful dilemma, which is the choice between these two basic construction solutions (classes A and AB). More common, i.e. AB, proposes to provide the required power with reasonable power consumption and provides excellent signal reproduction. And class A is an absolutely uncompromising solution when it comes to sound quality. The current is supplied to the power transistors regardless of the actual "demand" of the tip, which on the one hand means huge power consumption, low effective power and energy losses (hence the aforementioned great heat sinks), but instead gives an excellent frequency response for all signals and unmatched sound.
Most of the front panel is occupied by tilt power indicators, highlighted by a subtle blue color (the backlight can be turned off by a switch on the rear panel). The whole can of course be controlled by a remote control. It is worth emphasizing that even functions such as disconnecting the power amplifiers from the preamplifier can be remotely controlled.
The amplifier is equipped with five inputs for devices with a "standard" signal level (eg a CD player), a gramophone input for both types of inserts and an output for the recorder. On the front panel you will find a headphone jack.
